An era of Instagram activism and lack of accountability/action

It's more dangerous than we could have ever imagined it to be, because there is an illusion that action is being taken.
In fact, it seems as though topics of interest and concern peak, and then disappear, but the underlying issue remains untouched.
Do we use this kind of behaviour as an identity badge? Is it simply just our inherent tribal behaviour? Are we scared that if we don't post, people will think that we don't care?
